It is with sadness that I share the passing of Retired Firefighter Eric Julian. Eric passed peacefully on the morning of Saturday December 12th, surrounded by his wife and family.

Christmas Re-Imagined in Mississippi Mills started off with a great weekend! Santa spent the whole weekend in Mississippi Mills, accompanied by the Mississippi Mills Fire Department on five different routes throughout the municipality.

The Municipality would like to congratulate Mayor Lowry on being elected as the 2021 Lanark County Warden!. As County Warden, Mayor Lowry will be expected to preside over County Council meetings, provide leadership to the County Council, represent the County at official functions, and carry out the duties of the Head of Council.
The owner/applicant of 119 Edward Street is requesting relief from the minimum rear yard setback provision from 7. 5m (24. 6ft) to 3. 66m (12ft) in the Residential Second Density (R2) zone to permit an addition on the existing dwelling. The addition would increase the floor area for the existing dwelling and would include a new secondary dwelling unit.
If you compare the Municipality to a house, it is inevitable that costs come up to maintain the home. The carpets, roof or windows need to be replaced, the furnace needs to be fixed, the list is never ending.
