As Ontario prepares for the October 2026 municipal elections, AMO is offering a dynamic lineup of information sessions and workshops to support aspiring candidates and current elected officials.
The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal Election is officially open.
Nominations for the 2026 Municipal Election officially open on May 1.
Nomination papers are available online and candidate packages can be picked up at the Municipal Office as of Monday, April 27. We strongly encourage candidates to contact our Elections team at 613-256-2064 or elections@mississippimills.ca to make an appointment to file your nomination papers.
Ontario residents are encouraged to review and update their school support designation with the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) by June 1, 2026 to ensure accurate information is provided to Elections Ontario before the municipal and school board elections on October 26, 2026.
