Verify Your Voter Information Online by August 12

Residents are encouraged to verify that they are on the Voters' List and that their voter information is up to date in advance of this October's municipal election.

Even if you have voted in previous municipal, provincial or federal elections, you should not assume your information is current. Recent changes to how voter information is managed mean that some residents may need to confirm or update their records before Election Day.

As of January 1, 2024, Elections Ontario became responsible for maintaining the Voters' List for municipal and school board elections. This responsibility was previously held by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).

Residents can now use Elections Ontario's online voter registration service (www.registertovote.ca) to:

  • Confirm they are registered to vote
  • Update their name, address, or school support information
  • Add themselves to the Voters' List if they are not already registered
  • Correct any inaccurate or outdated information

Please review your information before August 12. After this date, updates and revisions will need to be completed directly through the Municipality's election process.

Checking your information only takes a few minutes and can help avoid delays or issues when it comes time to vote.

To verify, update, or register your voter information, visit www.registertovoteon.ca

Take a moment today to ensure you're ready to participate in the October municipal election.
