The Municipality operates childcare services through the Mississippi Mills Childcare Services (MMCS). MMCS offers infant, toddler, and pre-school care, as well as before and after school care through partnerships with the local schools.

Police

In Mississippi Mills, police services are provided through the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Your closest detachment can be found in Carleton Place or Arnprior, depending on where you are in Mississippi Mills.

Fire

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) provides our Fire Services. The department consists of 48 highly trained volunteer firefighters. Administration consists of a Fire Chief, Deputy Chief and an Administration Assistant to the Fire Chief.

MMFD operates out of two fire stations:

• Mississippi Mills Station 2, located at 106 Jeanie St., Pakenham, ON K0A 2X0

The Almonte General Hospital has been providing excellent medical care to area residents for generations. Family Health Teams (FHTs) bring together a variety of health care providers to coordinate the highest possible quality of care for patients.
