Mississippi Mills offers a wide variety of on-going waste management programs, all designed to help reduce waste in our environment. Currently, there are three Waste and Recycle Depots located within the municipality. Pakenham Depot and Howie Road Depot accept a variety of recyclable items only. The Beckwith Transfer Station accepts a larger stream of different waste material.
Dump Passes
Two dump passes for 250kg of waste each are mailed out to residents in August annually. These dump passes can only be redeemed at the Beckwith Transfer Station. New residents may visit the Municipal Office to be issued their two free dump passes.
Depot locations and hours
Please note that strict health and safety measures are in place at the depots; visitors must adhere to the landfill attendant's directions. Noncompliance will result in your removal from the depot.
