Remembrance Day celebrations have played a major role in Canada since 1931. Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, Canadians gather to stand in honour of all who have fallen.

Council and Committee of the Whole will hold their regular meetings on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Regular session is scheduled to start at 6:00 p. m. , followed by Committee of the Whole.

The Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB) Advisory Committee is updating the CSWB Plan for Lanark County and Smiths Falls. These provincially mandated plans are designed to evaluate local data, determine existing community assets and gaps, and strategize ways to bridge those gaps.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills continues to recognize the valuable contributions made by community organizations and volunteer groups through the Municipal Grants Program. Support is provided each year from the Municipality’s operating budget to qualifying organizations through an annual application process.
