A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment under Section 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P.13.

Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness Week runs November 1-7, 2025 and the Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) is reminding everyone to recognize the health risks and danger CO poses with tips, suggestions and advice on how to protect your family and stay safe.

The Ontario government will soon introduce legislation to create the Ontario Provincial Conservation Agency (OPCA) with the aim of improving the province’s conservation authority system to help get shovels in the ground faster on homes and other local infrastructure projects, while strengthening the vital role conservation authorities play in managing watersheds and protecting communities from floods and natural hazards.

Menzie Street in Almonte, between Ottawa Street and Maude Street, will be fully closed from Monday, November 3 to Tuesday, November 11.
