February 11 is 211 Day, a chance to highlight a service that helps people across Ontario navigate life’s challenges and connect to the supports they need, when they need them most.
211 Ontario is a free, confidential service jointly funded by the Province of Ontario, United Ways and other funders, and is available to 100% of Ontarians. Accessible 24/7 in more than 150 languages by phone, text, chat, and web; 211 connects residents to over 60,000 government and community programs.
The Municipality's Roads and Public Works has identified a watermain break on Bridge Street, between Country Street and Perth Street.
Repair work is scheduled for: Wednesday, February 11 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. (approximately).
At their January 27 meeting, Mississippi Mills Council proclaimed February 11 as 211 Day in the Municipality.
The Municipality will also participate in the United Glow initiative, illuminating the falls and Almonte Old Town Hall in red, to bring attention the critical service.
We invite you, your employees, coworkers and neighbours to join us at our first Mississippi Mills Business Breakfast of the year on Wednesday, February 18 at the Almonte Civitan Club Community Hall (500 Almonte Street), from 7 to 9 a.m.
