Press Release – Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus

On October 21, the Eastern Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (EOWC) met in Ottawa for its Parliament Hill Advocacy Day, meeting with federal officials and Members of Parliament to discuss urgent priorities impacting our 103 small urban and rural eastern Ontario communities. 

Lanark County is partnering with industry leader, Building Knowledge Canada Inc., to offer local contractors free training on high performance homes and Better Homes Lanark, a home energy retrofit program launched by the County earlier this year.

At the October 21 meeting, Mississippi Mills Council officially proclaimed the month of October as Dwarfism Awareness Month.

Here are the highlights from the Lanark County Council meeting held October 22, 2025.

Special Council meetings be held for the 2026 Budget on Tuesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 30. 

The Roads and Public Works Department will be conducting a water main repair tonight, Saturday, October 18, on Main Street East, between the back bridge and Union Street.
