May 17–23 marks Paramedic Services Week 2026, an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedicated paramedics and staff who provide care and support to communities across Lanark County every day.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills (Municipality) is conducting a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study for the proposed expansion of the existing Gemmill’s Bay Wastewater Pumping Station (GBPS) and Mississippi Mills Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
A Normal status indicates that no flood conditions exist. However, even during Normal conditions, the inherent risk to personal safety associated with flowing water still exists.

Lanark County will begin construction on the second phase of the Five Span Bridge Rehabilitation Project in Pakenham on Monday, May 11, 2026. Due to the complex nature of the work, a full road closure will be in effect at the bridge location for the duration of the project, which continues until November.
Ontario is investing over $322,000 through the 2026 Experience Ontario program to support 11 festivals and events in the Lanark–Frontenac–Kingston riding. This is part of a more than $20 million government investment to help municipalities and event organizers deliver high-quality programming and experiences for people of all ages.
