Here are the highlights from the Lanark County Council meeting held March 25, 2026.

Lanark County plans to proceed with Phase 2 of the rehabilitation of the historic Five-Span Bridge in Pakenham during the 2026 construction season, continuing work to preserve the structure and extend its service life while conserving its heritage character.

Council and Committee of the Whole will hold its regular meetings Tuesday, March 24, 2026. 

A Water Safety Statement is to provide notice of high flows, unsafe banks, melting ice or other factors that could be dangerous for recreational users such as anglers, canoeists, hikers, children, pets, etc. Flooding is not expected.

This Water Safety Statement is an update to the Flood Outlook Statement issued March 4, 2026.

The Municipality has been made aware that a private company has been leaving bags containing bottles at residents’ doors, offering to test household water and sell related products.
