The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision. On June 6, 2023, just after 2:00 p. m. , officers responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Highway 7, west of Tatlock Road.

Due to smoke plumes from the forest fire in the Calabogie area, Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement for Mississippi Mills. The migration of the smoke may cause poor air quality and reduced visibility in our area today and possibly into Tuesday, June 6.
