National AccessAbility Week – May 31 to June 6, 2026

May 31 to June 6, 2026 marks National AccessAbility Week in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.
Did you know that 1 out of every 5 Canadians have a disability? Each year, National AccessAbility Week celebrates the leadership, achievements and contributions of people with disabilities across Canada.
This week also shines a spotlight on the allies, organizations and communities working to remove barriers – and reminds us of the ongoing need for accessibility and inclusion in every aspect of community life.
This year’s theme, “Building a Strong, Accessible Canada,” highlights a simple truth: We all benefit when everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Throughout the week, keep an eye out for tips and information on how we can help create more accessible and inclusive spaces.
