Mississippi River Watershed Returns to Normal Status – May 12, 2026

From the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority

A Normal status indicates that no flood conditions exist. However, even during Normal conditions, the inherent risk to personal safety associated with flowing water still exists.

This is an update to the Water Safety Statement for the Mississippi River Watershed issued on May 5, 2026.

Watershed Conditions:

Water levels and flows have returned to normal seasonal ranges. While additional rainfall may cause some increases, flooding conditions are not expected at this time.

Duration:

This message is in effect until an update has been issued.
