Tax bills to be mailed out Monday, July 6
Payment is due in two installments:
- First installment: July 30
- Second installment: September 28
Pay from your phone by using the "pay a bill" feature in your banking app.

Paper water and tax bills now have a $2 fee. The next tax bill will be mailed out Monday, July 6.

Summer Company 2026 is now open!
Summer Company provides hands-on business training and mentoring in addition to awards of up to $3,000, to help enterprising students (ages 15-29) start-up and run their own summer businesses. Students gain insight into business creation and risk taking; practical experience in marketing, financial management, sales and customer service; and attitudes and skills essential for personal success, whatever their chosen career paths are.

Lanark County is adjusting its winter operations procedures in light of a province-wide salt shortage. An earlier start to winter weather, increased weather events and cold snaps along with supply issues have resulted in the significant limitations to salt availability.
As a result of the constraints, Lanark County Public Works will be switching to a sand/salt mix rather than straight salt for all roads.
At the January 27, 2026 meeting, Council proclaimed January as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.
For the rest of the month, Almonte Old Town Hall and the falls will shine blue in recognition and support of everyone affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) is proposing changes to the fees for Planning and Regulation reviews under Ontario Regulation 41/24, Prohibited Activities, Exemptions and Permits and Technical Report Reviews. The proposed fees will take effect March 1, 2026.
