Paper water bills will have a $2 fee starting in March 2026. This $2 fee also applies to property tax bills, beginning in June 2026.

Mississippi Mills Council passed a proclamation at their April 23, 2024 meeting to declare May 5, 2024 as World Pulmonary Hypertension Day. Almonte Old Town Hall and the Falls will also be illuminated in purple on May 5 in recognition of World PH Day.
The main portion of work for the renovations to the Almonte Cenotaph has been completed. Further work will continue over the next few weeks, focusing on cleaning the Cenotaph structure and repainting the names.
From Royal Canadian Legion Branch 240 President Rob Madore. As many are aware, as part of the current Cenotaph renovations, the large tree beside the Cenotaph had to be removed due to its failing condition becoming a safety hazard.

Press Release – Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists. The Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists (MVFN) were treated to a captivating talk featuring special guest speaker Bob McDonald and his “Perspectives on a Planet. ” MVFN’s Annual Spring Gathering featured a short video, a dessert and coffee social, information stations, a silent auction and culminated with Bob’s fascinating presentation.
