It is with sadness that I share the passing of Past Ramsay Councillor, Marilyn Anderson. Mrs. Anderson passed on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, with family by her side.
Mrs. Anderson served as a Ramsay Township Councillor from 1994-1997. After amalgamation, she continued to represent Ramsay Ward on Mississippi Mills Council from 1998-2010. Throughout her 16 years in public service, Mrs. Anderson was a fierce defender of the rural community...

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: Please be advised that the following streets in Almonte will be closed on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th from 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm for a parade sponsored by Puppets Up.
- Reserve Street from Bridge Street to John Street
- John Street from the OVRT to Reserve Street
- McCallum Street from Water Street to Reserve Street

Council/ Committee of the Whole Meeting - August 9, 2022
Council and Committee of the Whole will hold their regular meetings on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
Council is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm with a closed session. Regular session is scheduled to start at 6:00pm, immediately followed by the Committee of the Whole meeting. Agendas for the meetings can be found here.

Temporary Closure of Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Emergency Department
The Emergency Department (ED) at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) will close at 7 am on Saturday, August 6th. It will re-open at 7 am on Sunday, August 7th.
This temporary closure is due to a shortage of nursing staff. There will be one physician and one nurse in the Emergency Department to respond to anyone arriving at the door who is unaware of the closure. The...
