Highlights. Staff responded to several customer service inquiries this quarter and repaired three watermain breaks.
Please be advised of a temporary reduction of the speed limit on Main Street in Almonte, specifically between Martin Street and Union Street. In accordance with the delegated authority granted to the Director of Roads and Public Works, effective February 13, 2024, the new temporary speed limit for the street will be 30 km/h.
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has reopened Main Street to alternating two-way traffic, effective February 13, 2024. Following the completion of temporary stabilization works at 38 Main Street East (Dungarvon Building), the exclusionary zone has been reduced to allow for the opening of one lane.
The Municipality's Aquatic Reimbursement Pilot Program is returning February 20, 2024. This program provide residents of Mississippi Mills with reimbursement for the difference between resident and non-resident fees charged for the use of aquatic programs in Carleton Place, Arnprior or West-Ottawa.

Mississippi Mills will distribute over $40,000 to community groups and organizations in 2024 through the Municipal Grants program. Council approved the 2024 allotments during their February 6 meeting in the amount of $42,550.
