There have been several sightings of the tiny gypsy moth caterpillars in Mississippi Mills over the past week. If you haven’t seen them take a close look at a tree, unfortunately they are everywhere!

The Health Unit has invested in our Leeds, Grenville and Lanark (LGL) Vaccine Call Centre, and as a result we have increased our capacity to handle a higher volume of calls, and have trained call centre staff to manage more complex client requests. The recent enhancements to the local call centre mean that 100 individuals can be in the queue to speak with a live agent, and wait times have averaged less than 20-minutes.

Council adopted. Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 22.

April 21, 2021. A special advisory committee (SAC) struck by Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) has submitted its report to the MVCA Board of Directors with three options for the future of the Mill of Kintail Museum.

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) has changed the burning status to a Partial Burn Ban. The Partial Burn Ban will permit campfires in the Municipality in areas that are permitted to burn.

April 19, 2021. Earlier this year, I shared an overview of several important projects and planning processes that will be taking place.

The Municipality is currently conducting a review of its Agricultural designation in our Community Official Plan!. Referred to as Official Plan Amendment 29 (OPA 29), this project consists of a systematic review of the agricultural areas throughout Mississippi Mills.
