Planning Our Future Together
One of my goals as your Mayor is to ensure residents have the information you need on important matters. For Council to make fully informed decisions, we need the public to understand the issues and provide feedback in the decision-making process. In the fall of 2023 Council will have some very important decisions to make for our community.

FLOOD WARNING issued for Dalhousie Lake and Clyde River
April 8, 2023 MISSISSIPPI AND CARP RIVER WATERSHEDS— The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority has upgraded its FLOOD WATCH to a FLOOD WARNING for Dalhousie Lake. Levels on the lake have continued to rise as the remainder of the snowmelt enters the watershed. With no rain in the forecast levels are expected to stabilized as soon as runoff rates subside over the next couple of days.

Water Conditions Statement: Flood Outlook — Lower Ottawa River
April 7, 2023 — A Flood Outlook Statement is being issued for areas along the Lower Ottawa River (Arnprior to Hawkesbury).
Based on forecasted higher temperatures and anticipated snow melt, levels and flows along the Ottawa River are expected to increase over the next few days, marking the beginning of the spring freshet in the Ottawa River basin.

For residents whose garbage was missed during regular pick up on Thursday, please be advised that it will be collected tomorrow (Saturday, April 8th) along the following routes:
- Ramsay Concession 8 from Rae Road to County Road 29
- Includes Emerich Street, Senator Street and Torok Drive
Please ensure your garbage and recycling is curbside by 7am to ensure pick up.

Mother Nature sure had something to say yesterday. As we head into the long Easter weekend, I’d like to pause to thank some pretty incredible staff and partners.
