Burn Ban Reminder

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department is reminding residents that the municipality remains under a total fire ban.  Several weeks of low precipitation has contributed to dry conditions across the area.  The local fire risk level will remain in the high-risk range until the dry conditions improve.

Total Burn Ban in Effect

Effectively immediately, the Municipality of Mississippi Mills will be under a complete burn ban.  Conditions remain dry throughout the municipality and there has been some large brush fires due to human caused situations.

All open air fires are prohibited during a fire ban, even those properties that have an Open Air Fire Permit. This ban applies to all types of burning, including campfiresand fireworks. This ban will remain in place until significant rainfall is received.
