The Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills has proclaimed May 1 – 7, 2022 as Emergency Preparedness Week. A national annual event that traditionally takes place during the first full week of May, Emergency Preparedness Week raises awareness and encourages residents to become better prepared in the event of an emergency.
Natural disasters may be beyond our control, but initiative can be taken to reduce the risk and impact of whatever emergency we may face....

The following road projects were approved during the 2022 Mississippi Mills Municipal Budget process and are schedule for this season. Construction schedules are being finalized; projects are not in chronological order. Residents in the affected areas will be notified in advance.

Council and Committee of the Whole will hold their regular meetings on Tuesday, May 3rd. Council will begin with a closed session and will return to open session at 6:00 pm. The Committee of the Whole meeting will begin immediately following Council. Agendas for the meetings can be found here.
As we re-open Council Chambers to members of the public, we have a limit of 20 in the viewing gallery, which will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Preregistration is no longer required.

April 28, 2022, is National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace. This is a day to pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, and to honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies. Every worker has the right to return home safe at the end of each work day.
