Today is the 25th Anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. June is also National Indigenous History Month.

Honouring the culture and histories of the Indigenous Peoples not only broadens our human story but also ensures that a complete history of Canada and all her Peoples are duly recognized and remembered.

In celebration of Pride Month, Mississippi Mills Council voted to install Progress Pride crosswalks in three locations across the Municipality.

The Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce along with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Ontario and Federal Government to provide Covid Rapid Antigen Test Kits to businesses across the province who wish to test employees in the workplace.

In the rural areas Property Identification Signs (blue signs with white numbers) are used by emergency services to identify your property in the event of an emergency. Over time these signs can become covered by branches, shrubs, or trees, making them difficult to spot - especially by someone in a hurry.
