Mississippi Mills offers a wide variety of on-going waste management programs, all designed to help reduce waste in our environment. Currently, there are 3 Waste and Recycle Depots located within the municipality. Pakenham Depot and Howie Road Depot accept a variety of recyclable items only. The Beckwith Transfer Station is the Depot that accepts a larger stream of different waste material.
Residents can redeem their mailed annual landfill passes (2) 250kg passes for the Beckwith Transfer Station - this is the only location that landfill passes can be redeemed. Passes are mailed out during the month of August each year.
