Licensing Dogs (Dog Tags)
All dogs within the Municipality of Mississippi Mills must be licensed. Dog licenses expire on December 31st of each year and can be renewed by visiting the Municipal Office or by mailing the Dog Tag Registration Form along with the appropriate proof documents and applicable fee to the Municipal Office at 3131 Old Perth Road, PO Box 400, Almonte ON K0A 1A0.

Why should I license my dog?
- If your dog gets lost or is injured it is the fastest, easiest and most cost effective way of identifying your dog and getting in contact with you.
- Licensed dogs are more likely to be returned home.
- Licensing your dog shows that you are a responsible pet owner.

Reporting Animal Control Concerns
The Municipality's animal control regulations are based on the consolidated By-law 14-21.
If you would like to report a concern regarding dogs at large, poop-and-scoop violations, or dog attacks, please email by-law officials or call 613-256-2064 ext. 507.
Please note the Municipality does not respond to calls regarding cats or wild animals. For roadkill please contact Roads and Public works for Municipal roads and Lanark County at 613-267-1353 for all county roads.
