At last night’s Council meeting, Childcare Services Director Anita Legault gave a presentation with respect to the 50th anniversary of Mississippi Mills Childcare Services (formerly Almonte Daycare Centre). Temporary Closure of Almonte General Hospital Emergency Department

The Emergency Department (ED) at Almonte General Hospital (AGH) will close at 7 p.m. today - Monday, September 5th. It will re-open at 7 a.m. tomorrow – Tuesday, September 6th.  Patients will not be accepted after 4:30 p.m. to ensure the department can close at 7 p.m. This temporary closure is due to a nursing staff shortage due to illness. The rest of the hospital is still open and caring for patients.

The Corporation of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills will be flushing the water mains in all areas of Almonte Ward beginning Tuesday, September 20, 2022 – Monday, October 31, 2022, during the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. (excluding weekends).
