Almonte Daycare Centre Closed January 17th

Please be advised that, due to the predicted winter storm, Almonte Daycare Centre will be closed on Monday January 17th, 2022. This includes before and after school programs.

Snow will be heavy at times and accumulations will affect travel. Safety of all is our primary concern.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Parents will not be charged for the day.

We will resume operations on Tuesday January 18th.

Mississippi Mills has received approval to offer emergency childcare effective Jan 10, 2022. This program is coordinated by Lanark County. Spaces are limited. For information and to apply email lclarke@lanarkcounty.ca.

Municipal Closures

As a result of recent Provincial government shutdown announcements, the municipality has a number of closures and capacity reductions. These closures and restrictions will be in place until the province lifts the shutdown.

The following facilities will be closed effective January 5, 2022 at 12:01 am:

  • Almonte Community Centre
  • Almonte Curling Club
  • Stewart Community Centre
  • Ramsay and Pakenham Municipal Garages – closed to the public
  • Almonte Old Town Hall (including public washrooms)
