Significant Rainfall Increases Flows and Raises Lake Levels
May 2, 2023 MISSISSIPPI AND CARP RIVER WATERSHEDS— The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority is issuing a FLOOD WATCH for Dalhousie Lake and Clyde River. The Mississippi and Carp River watersheds received significant rainfall over the last three days. As a result, flows and levels have increased significantly. It is expected that levels on Dalhousie Lake will continue to increase over the next two days by another 10 to 15 cm.

Please be advised that County Road 29 in Pakenham at the OVRT overpass is flooded. The road is currently closed and detours are in place.

(MISSISSIPPI MILLS, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following reports of shots fired.
On April 27, 2023, at about 4:30 p.m., officers received information that two school buses had been shot at by a pellet gun on Clayton Road in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.

April 28, 2023, is National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace. This is a day to pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, and to honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies. Every worker has the right to return home safe at the end of each work day.

Water levels and flows declining across the watershed
April 26, 2023 MISSISSIPPI AND CARP RIVER WATERSHEDS — The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority is TERMINATING the FLOOD WARNING for Dalhousie Lake and Clyde River. Levels and flows are declining and based on the current weather forecasts, that trend is expected to continue.
Levels still remain high on Dalhousie and Mississippi Lakes but are declining. It will be at least another 5 to 7 days before levels return to seasonal conditions....
