Regular session is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm, followed by Committee of the Whole.

Water levels have peaked but are expected to remain high

May 16, 2023 MISSISSIPPI AND CARP RIVER WATERSHEDS— The FLOOD WARNING issued by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) on May 3rd remains in effect.

The dry weather over the last week has resulted in all areas of the watershed peaking and lakes and watercourses are observed to decline.

Lane Reductions at Almonte Old Town Hall

Please be advised that the parking lot entrance to the Almonte Old Town Hall will be reduced to one lane tomorrow (May 16th) due to construction related activities. Flagstaff will be present to direct traffic through the construction area and into the parking lot. 

If you plan to visit AOTH tomorrow, it's advised you enter south from Bridge Street (to make a right hand turn into the parking lot) 

When leaving the parking lot, please turn left over the bridge.

Municipal Flags Lowered to Half-Mast to Honour Fallen OPP Sergeant

On behalf of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, we offer our sincere condolences to OPP Sgt. Eric Mueller’s family, friends, colleagues and fellow officers during this difficult time.  

Sgt. Mueller was killed in the line of duty last week after a shooting in the Municipality of Clarence-Rockland, east of Ottawa. Two other officers were also shot and are recovering.

Flags at all municipal buildings have been lowered to half-mast in honour of Sgt. Mueller.
