The fire risk level has been dropped back to Level 2 – Moderate Risk – in the Municipality of Mississippi

Mills as of July 18, 2023.

This means that conditions for burning are suitable but residents should use caution due to dry conditions.

 The Emergency Department at Almonte General Hospital (AGH) will close on Saturday, July 15 at 7 p.m. and will reopen at 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 16. 

The Emergency Department at Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) will also be closed Friday, July 14 at 3 p.m., reopening at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 15.

Sections of the Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail (OVRT) will be closed intermittently between July 18 and 21 to allow for resurfacing work.
