Statement From the Office of the Mayor - June 16, 2023
On Thursday, June 15, 2023, a collision took place between a semi-trailer truck and a bus on the Trans-Canada Highway in southwestern Manitoba. Fifteen people were killed and 10 were taken to hospital.
On June 16, 2023, flags at all municipal buildings in Mississippi Mills were lowered to half-mast following the lowering of the flags at the Peace Tower. Flags will remain lowered until Monday, June 19, 2023, in honour of the victims.
