Province Hits Emergency Brake: How this Affects Leeds, Grenville and Lanark
On April 1, 2021 the government of Ontario announced that the entire province will be going into a province-wide emergency brake shut down as of Saturday, April 3rd, 2021. This regulation will be in effect for 4 weeks.

Lanark County - OVRT Re-opened to Motorized Vehicles

The OVRT (Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail) is now re-opened to all users, including motorized vehicles, effective Saturday, April 3rd, 2021.
In accordance with the OVRT Trail Management Plan, the trail was closed to motorized users on March 16, 2021 to allow for the annual spring dry out.

The following services will be available over Easter Weekend – Friday, April 2 to Monday, April 5, 2021 :
- Health Unit phone lines will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call 1-800-660-5853

Tomorrow, March 31st , is a sombre anniversary marking one year since we learned of the first local death attributed to Covid-19. 70+ Now Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccine
If you are over 70 years of age (born in 1951 or earlier), you can now book an appointment to receive vaccine at one of the COVID-19 clinics in Brockville, Kemptville, Smiths Falls, or Almonte (or elsewhere in Ontario).
