A section of the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail (OVRT) will be under a rolling closure beginning Wednesday, June 24 from Shaw Road to the Highway 417 overpass to permit trail grading and application of stone dust to the trail surface.  

Due to the Canada Day holiday on Wednesday, July 1, garbage and recycling collection in the Municipality will shift by one day for the remainder of the week.

Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) has lowered the current burn risk to Level 2 (Moderate Risk) due to recent rainfall and additional precipitation expected in the coming days.

Under this level, open air burning is permitted. Residents must continue to follow all burn permit rules and ensure fires are closely monitored at all times.

Construction of two outdoor beach volleyball courts at Gemmill Park on Monday, June 15.

The Municipality’s Roads and Public Works Department will be completing sanitary sewer maintenance on Main Street East on Wednesday, June 10, beginning at 8 a.m. Work is expected to be completed by 12 p.m.
