Tax bills to be mailed out Monday, July 6
Payment is due in two installments:
- First installment: July 30
- Second installment: September 28
Pay from your phone by using the "pay a bill" feature in your banking app.

Paper water and tax bills now have a $2 fee. The next tax bill will be mailed out Monday, July 6.

Please be advised that the Municipality's Roads and Public Works Department is conducting watermain flow testing this week which includes flushing water from fire hydrants. .
Today, June 23, is the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism. This day was first proclaimed by the Government of Canada in 2005, in memory of those who have lost their lives through acts of terror in Canada and around the globe.
The Municipality has contracted Miller Paving Limited to undertake the microsurfacing of Evelyn Street in Almonte. The works are scheduled to take place Friday, June 21.
Due to the extreme heat, the Mississippi Mills Fire Department has raised the burn risk status to a Level 2, effective June 19, 2024. This means conditions for burning are suitable, but caution should be exercised due to dry conditions.
There are four Cooling Centres within the Municipality for residents to take advantage of to beat the heat during this week’s extreme heat event. John Levi Community Centre (182 Bridge Street, Almonte).
The Owner of 38 Main Street East has provided the Municipality with documentation by the required deadline of the latest Order. The Chief Building Official is currently undertaking a review of the documents, including a review by the Municipality’s Engineering Consultant, to ensure the material meets the requirements of the Order.
Press Release – Lanark County. Blakeney Bridge in Mississippi Mills will be closed until mid-December starting Tuesday, July 2 in order to facilitate the removal and installation of the new bridge.
The Beautification Department within the Municipality of Mississippi Mills has been busy with beautification efforts this spring to ensure plantings in the Municipality look their best. We’d like to thank Ramsay Creek, who has been working in partnership with the Municipality, and to recognize their work in helping beautify our community, including planting beds , including the area around the Almonte gateway sign and the beautiful hanging baskets, which were installed this week.
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills will begin the. In 2016, Mississippi Mills initiated a review and design process for the renewal of infrastructure on Mercer Street and Marshall Street.
