Highlights of the October 4th, 2022 Council Meeting

At last night’s meeting, Council heard from James Marzotto of Compass Renewable Energy Consulting Inc. with respect to the proposed development of a battery storage project located at County Road 29 and Rae Road. Council directed staff to bring back a report for further consideration.

Council also heard from Stephen Brathwaite and Ed Lawrence regarding a beautification proposal for the area of Reserve and Bridge Streets by the Alameda in Almonte....

Septic Approvals in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills

Starting October 1, 2022, the Mississippi Valley and Rideau Valley Conservation Authorities are working together to provide septic approval services to additional municipalities in the local area, including the Municipality of Mississippi Mills.

Formerly serviced by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, several municipalities have now turned to their conservation authorities to provide this service.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has launched a public consultation survey to understand what recreation, cultural and child care services are being delivered well and to identify areas for improvement. This input will help set municipal budget priorities, evaluate existing programs, and enhance programs/services to improve quality of life in Mississippi Mills.
