From Royal Canadian Legion Branch 240 President Rob Madore

As many are aware, as part of the current Cenotaph renovations, the large tree beside the Cenotaph had to be removed due to its failing condition becoming a safety hazard.

Although this was unavoidable, the team behind the Cenotaph renovations were determined to find some type of reuse for any salvageable wood. The Almonte District High School woodworking shop has been given a large piece to do something creative with in the future.
