The presence of COVID-19 variants of concern (VOCs) in Ontario has prompted the province to make changes to the guidelines for self-isolation, and changes to the school and childcare screening tool. Tuesday night’s Council meeting began by recognizing two board members of the Mississippi River Power Corporation (MRPC) Mr. Paul Virgin and Mr. Garry Dalgity, who’s terms have recently ended. On Friday Feb 12 2021, Premier Ford announced Ontario Returning 27 Public Health Regions to Strengthened COVID-19 Response Framework.
Lanark Leeds and Grenville District Health Unit, which includes Mississippi Mills, has been moved back to the Green-Prevent Framework to start today, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. which means we are no longer subject to the Stay-at-Home order.

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Allan Lowry of Penlow Farms. Our thoughts are with his wife Donna Sweeney and family Christa (Mayor Lowry), Julie, Brad (Lindsay Cavanagh) and Leanna.
