This afternoon the Lanark OPP reported a drowning death in Blakeney. This is the second fatal call that the Mississippi Mills Fire Department has responded to in mere days, on the heels of a major 30-acre brush fire mid-week. 

On behalf of Council and the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, I extend my sincere condolences to the families of the victims from these tragic events. Please respect the privacy of the victims and their families while they are notified and while they mourn.

FATAL HOUSE FIRE IN MISSISSIPPI MILLS May 12, 2022

 Yesterday evening, May 12, 2022 members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) attended and contained a fatal house fire in Almonte.

Change to Water Billing Cycles

 For 2022, Mississippi Mills Water/Sewer users will be billed for 6 billing periods.  The annual per unit base charge of $658.64 (2022 rates) will be pro-rated for the number of months in each billing period.  The 2022 billing periods and base charge per period will be as follows:
