Almonte COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic expands
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is expanding its vaccination capacity as of tomorrow at the Almonte Vaccine Clinic. More space was available at the Almonte and District Community Centre (Arena), 182 Bridge St, Almonte to accommodate more vaccination stations and still retain physical distancing.

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department has lifted the partial burn ban effective April 30th, 2021. Residents are reminded that burn permits are required and that time restrictions for burning are in effect during fire season.

Last night the virtual information session for the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 29 - Prime Agricultural Area Designation Review took place. Information sessions are an opportunity for residents to learn and ask questions in preparation for the Public Meeting. If you didn't get a chance to attend the information session, not to worry! The Municipality of Mississippi Mills Council has awarded the Mill Run Park Development project to Strathmar Trenching Ltd.
The project includes; a play structure, benching, pathways, a grassed playing field, and a small parking lot.
Work is expected to being in May 2021 and is scheduled to be substantially complete in October 2021. The play structure and pathways will be accessible once the project is substantially complete, but the field will remain fenced off and unavailable until the grass...

April 28, 2021, is National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace. This is a day to pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, and to honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies. Every worker has the right to return home safe at the end of each work day.
