The Municipality of Mississippi Mills recognizes World Young Rheumatic Disease Day on March 18, a global effort to raise awareness and support for children and youth living with rheumatic conditions.

The Municipality has been made aware that a private company has been leaving bags containing bottles at residents’ doors, offering to test household water and sell related products.

On March 10, 2026, the Minister of Environment, Conservation & Parks announced the government’s decision regarding amalgamation of Ontario’s conservation authorities. 

Due to a high level of participation and sustained public interest, Alto is extending the online public consultation period until Monday, April 24, 2026, bringing the total duration of the process to 100 days.

The Ontario government is taking the next step to improve the province’s conservation authority system with our plan to create nine regional conservation authorities. This follows extensive consultation on how conservation authorities can help get shovels in the ground faster on homes and other local infrastructure projects, while strengthening their vital role in managing watersheds and protecting communities from floods and natural hazards.
