The finish line is in sight and the last touches are being put on the Downtown Almonte Revitalization Project. Both Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited and the Municipality of Mississippi Mills have committed to completing the paving of the Downtown Core by July 28, 2023.

The renewal of Princess Street in Almonte began on Monday, July 24. The nearly $1. 5 million project is being undertaken by Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited and is anticipated to be completed this construction season.
Starting July 1, 2023, your blue box recycling program (and many others across Ontario) will be managed by Circular Materials, a not-for-profit Producer Responsibility Recycling Organization committed to building efficient and effective recycling systems to minimize waste, and ensure materials are reused again and again. This transition will result in no change to the materials you can recycle or to your current recycling schedule, but it will mean that separate trucks will be used for collecting recyclable materials and garbage.
