Press Release - Lanark County. Lanark County is the Consolidated Municipal Service Manager (Service Manager) for both Lanark County and the Town of Smiths Falls.
Mayor Christa Lowry was invited to participate in a multi-ministerial delegation at the recent Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, held in London, Ontario, August 20 to 23. Mayor Lowry opened roundtable discussions, which were facilitated by Lindsay Jones, AMO Director of Policy and Government Relations.
Council and Committee of the Whole will hold their regular meetings on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Regular session is scheduled to start at 6:00 p. m. , followed by Committee of the Whole.

Press Release - Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists. On Sunday, August 6, a number of members of the Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists (MVFN) were on a paddle on the Mississippi River just downstream from Dalhousie Lake, when they spotted a strange bird, which was later identified as a Limpkin.
