Council and Committee of the Whole will hold their regular meetings on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Regular session is scheduled to start at 6:00 p. m. , followed by Committee of the Whole.

The winter of 2023-24 is quickly coming to an end, and the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, along with the. Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority.

Residents are advised that flushing of the sanitary and storm sewer system in certain areas has begun and may last until April 12, 2024. .

The Mississippi Mills Municipal Office, will be closed Good Friday (Friday, March 29) and Monday, April 1 for Easter. The Municipality's Building and Planning and Recreation and Culture Departments at Almonte Old Town Hall will also be closed on these days.

Please be advised that if your regular garbage/recycling collection is Fridays, this week it will be collected on Saturday, March 30 due to Good Friday. Also, a second container may be placed out for pickup at curbside without a bag tag affixed to it, during collections taking place the week immediately following Easter Monday.

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department (MMFD) has changed the Municipality’s open air burning status to a. Level 5 – Total Burn Ban.
