Lanark County Understanding Homelessness Information Sessions – March 21 and April 2

Lanark County is hosting two free virtual public education sessions on homelessness.
Each session will contain the same information and is directed to the public or those with little to no understanding of homelessness. The sessions will be led by Iain De Jong of OrgCode Consulting INC, a well-established expert in the field and a strong and inspirational speaker.

At last night’s meeting, Council approved $178,762.40 in funding for projects related to Community Safety and Well-being (CSWB). These projects centre around four themes chosen by Council – Youth, Seniors, Transportation and Community Connections. These initiatives provide concrete action toward the goal of providing a community where Mississippi Mills residents of all ages feel welcome, safe and have the opportunity to thrive.
