Invitation to Annual Dedication to Indigenous Peoples. Early in the term, I started working with Mississippi Mills All My Relations, a group of community members whose mission is to respond to the calls to action outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in a respectful, concrete and achievable way.

This week has been challenging for us all as we adjust to the Province’s second declaration of Emergency and a new stay-at-home order. It affects how we do business, how children learn, how we interact with each other and how we carry on with our day-to-day lives.

The Municipality is in the Process of Expanding Urban Settlement Boundaries for Almonte. You may have heard the Municipality of Mississippi Mills has begun the process of an urban boundaries review for Almonte.

One of my goals as Mayor is to provide information to residents on important issues. I want to ensure you are informed and aware of ways to participate and share your views.

January 11, 2021. Lanark County has partnered to provide child care for school aged children of essential service workers during lockdown.

2020 has been a year unlike any other and one I certainly would never want to see us repeat, but over and over again our community has shown that we truly are in this together. I am looking forward to when we can join with family, friends, neighbours and colleagues in ways that we used to take for granted.

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills Administration Building will be closed for the holidays as of noon on Thursday, December 24th, until the New Year and will re-open on Monday, January 4th, 2021 at 8:30 am. In case of a municipal emergency, please call the Public Works emergency pager at 613-256-3167.

The Province of Ontario announced a Provincewide Shutdown to commence 12:01AM on December 26. th.

At a press conference this afternoon, Premier of Ontario Doug Ford announced. further Covid-19 restrictions.
