As Lanark County’s Warden, I attended a very exciting announcement on Friday. All three levels of government across Eastern Ontario are supporting the Eastern Ontario Regional Network’s (EORN) Cell Gap Project and on Friday it was announced that Rogers Communications has been awarded the contract.

Why do you need to be Flood Ready?. Overland flooding happens when water flows overland and seeps into buildings through windows, doors and cracks.

Spring will be upon us in just a few short days and with this comes warmer temperatures, melting snow, rain and mud!!. As a result, effective immediately (Tuesday, March 16, 2021), the OVRT (Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail) is closed to motorized vehicles until early April to allow for the trail to dry out.

Earlier this week, the Government of Canada announced the designation of March 11, 2021, as National Day of Observance for COVID-19. The step is being taken, on the anniversary of the first known Canadian Covid-19 death, to commemorate the people who lost their lives as well as the significant impacts all Canadians have all felt during the pandemic.

The Mississippi Mills Public Library has established protocols in place for safe curbside pick up. With this in mind they have generously offered to take over as a drop off location for well water testing samples for Mississippi Mills residents.
