May 25, 2022. As a result of the severe windstorm this weekend, much of the municipality remains without power and will be facing significant clean up due to fallen trees and branches.

Due to the power outages and storm cleanup in the area, the Committee of Adjustment meeting scheduled for tomorrow, May 25, 2022 at 6pm, will now be cancelled. .

Council will be holding an emergency meeting at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 23, 2022 to discuss matters relating to the sever storm that passed through the municipality over the weekend. .

Last night, the start of Council began with a procedural matter relating to a. point of privilege.

This afternoon the Lanark OPP reported a drowning death in Blakeney. This is the second fatal call that the Mississippi Mills Fire Department has responded to in mere days, on the heels of a major 30-acre brush fire mid-week.
