The well-loved Mid-Winter Milling Returns to Downtown Almonte for its 13th iteration in 2026!

Join Destination Almonte for a mystical day of Mid-Winter Milling on Saturday, February 21 2026 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Experience the magic as psychics, mediums, card readers, and more gather in downtown Almonte for this much-anticipated event.

Students at R. Tait McKenzie Public School brought history and global issues to life through two interesting learning experiences on January 28: a Grade 5 Wax Museum and a Grade 6 Social Justice Fair. While the topics were wide-ranging, both events shared a common foundation—strong research, thoughtful writing, and confident oral presentations.

Summer Company 2026 is now open!

Summer Company provides hands-on business training and mentoring in addition to awards of up to $3,000, to help enterprising students (ages 15-29) start-up and run their own summer businesses. Students gain insight into business creation and risk taking; practical experience in marketing, financial management, sales and customer service; and attitudes and skills essential for personal success, whatever their chosen career paths are.
