All rentals for municipally run facilities require a $2-Million Liability Insurance certificate. Insurance can be bought privately or through the municipality.

The curling rink lounge is fully licensed by the LLBO and is air conditioned.

Old Town Hall Auditorium

Address: 14 Bridge St., Almonte

The Almonte Old Town Hall is one of many beautiful historic landmarks within Mississippi Mills. The building was originally built in 1885 with a new wooden porch added to the front entrance in 1966.

The Almonte Old Town Hall has housed a variety of different operations such as; municipal offices, fire station, police station, jail house and municipal library.

In 1979 the property was declared a heritage site, and the roof, which is a rare type of Ontario roof finish, was repaired keeping as much of the original roof as possible.

The Almonte Old Town Hall is now the municipalities premiere venue for theatre, musical performances, craft shows, professional music recording, community dinners, feature films, weddings and conferences.

Cedar Hill School House is an historical school house that has been renovated over the years with help from a passionate local group of volunteers “The Friends of Cedar Hill.”

It is ideal for meetings, family reunions and small parties.

The Clayton Community Centre is a great location to host meetings, family reunions, weddings and more.

The second-floor banquet hall is fully licensed by the LLBO and is an air-conditioned facility.

Union Hall Murals

Address: 1984 Wolf Grove Rd., Almonte

Since its construction in 1857 by the local farming community, Union Hall has been used continuously as a library, a meeting hall, and a place for worship, family celebrations, memorial services, dances, children’s parties and cultural activities—and it remains a community hub today. With its rustic charm and excellent acoustics, it continues to be a popular venue today. It is located at 1984 Wolf Grove Road, at the corner of Tatlock Road.

The Union Hall Community Centre is a Registered Charity (#131595324RR0001), owned by the community and operated entirely by volunteers. The hall receives financial support from the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, Almonte Community Coordinators (The Hub), and private donors.

NEW: Recent renovations with the help of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant now allow year-round operation.

  • Capacity of 75 people
  • Fully equipped kitchen, tables chairs, tablecloths and dishes
  • Family-friendly; wheelchair access
  • Stage and digital piano
  • Exterior sign can be rented for notices or personal messages
