Babysitting Course

The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has partnered with Safety Tree to deliver the Red Cross Babysitting Course. 

Topics include:

• How to find clients and make money babysitting
• Caring for children of all ages
• Creating safe environments and preventing accidents
• Fire safety and prevention
• What to do in an emergency
• Good decision-making and leadership skills
• Basic First Aid Skills

What to bring:

• Nut free lunch and snacks
• Personal size bottle of hand sanitizer
• Pencil and eraser
• Indoor footwear
• Doll

When: Tentative date is October 17, 2026 (will be confirmed in early September)

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Almonte & District High School, 126 Martin St. N, Almonte, Room 21

Cost: TBD

Requirements: participants must be between the ages of 11-16.
