Media Release - COVID-19 Testing Clinic at Carleton Place Arena on December 11 & 18

The Almonte COVID-19 Assessment Centre is hosting two satellite COVID-19 Testing Clinics at the Carleton Place Arena. The Clinics will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 11 and Friday, December 18, 2020.


Pre-booked appointments are required. There are no walk-in appointments.


To schedule an appointment, please call 613-325-1208 and leave a message. Messages are retrieved daily between 8:00 am and 3:30 pm. You will receive a call back from an unknown/private number.

Christmas Re-Imagined in Mississippi Mills started off with a great weekend! Santa spent the whole weekend in Mississippi Mills, accompanied by the Mississippi Mills Fire Department on five different routes throughout the municipality.

In Leeds, Grenville and Lanark, a sharp increase has been seen of people infected with COVID-19 over the past week from one or two people infected each day, to up to 8 newly infected individuals each day. This is affecting local business, workplace, and schools in our communities.

Council has approved a revised work plan to proceed with the completion of the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 22 which is based on an Almonte Ward Settlement Area Boundary Review. Municipal staff welcomed the OPP today to collect  30 gifts donated generously by the public for the Angel Tree program. These gifts will benefit local children in care with Lanark County Family & Children's Services. Mississippi Mills would like to thank all who participated and helped make Christmas a little extra special this year for those in need in our community.
