The Municipality has been made aware of residents receiving phone calls from representatives with the Mississippi Mills Fire Department seeking charity curling donations.

These calls are NOT from the Mississippi Mills Fire Department. The fire department is not soliciting donations for charity curling. If you receive such a call, please report it to the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.

Special Council Budget Meeting - December 14th, 2023

A Special Council Meeting on the 2024 Budget will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

The session begins at 3 p.m. where Council will discuss finalizing the 2024 operating budget.

Free Community Luncheon in Almonte on December 25

A Meal for All is partnering with some of the local churches to host a free Community Luncheon on December 25 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Almonte.

As we know, Christmas can be difficult for many people, for those living alone, for those new to the community, those struggling to make ends meet or those who find themselves far away for family & friends.  We hope that this luncheon offers everyone an opportunity for happy fellowship as well as a celebratory meal.
